Growth Strategy

Your customer list is a marketing channel you already paid for

Past customers and dead estimates are the highest-margin revenue in a service business, and almost nobody works them.

The asset sitting in the CRM

A company doing $50,000 a month has usually served hundreds of customers and quoted many more. Those people already know the brand, already had a positive experience, and cost nothing to reach again. Yet most databases go untouched between seasons.

Reactivation is the fastest revenue in acquisition work because there is no media cost - only the discipline to send the message and answer the replies.

Three segments worth building

  • Unsold estimates from the last 6–12 months, split by job size
  • Customers past their natural service interval - annual maintenance, seasonal cleaning, re-seal or re-coat windows
  • One-time customers who never bought a second service you offer

Message structure that works

Short, specific, and written like a person: reference the exact service and roughly when it was, give one reason to act now, and make replying easier than clicking. Offers should protect margin - priority scheduling, a bundled add-on or a seasonal window beats a blanket discount.

Volume matters less than cadence. A segmented send every few weeks outperforms one large blast, and it keeps the phones from being flooded beyond crew capacity.

Set the capacity guardrail first

Reactivation can produce more work than a crew can service in a week. Before sending, decide how many jobs you can absorb, then size the send to match. Booked work that gets scheduled four weeks out is how reactivation turns into cancellations instead of revenue.
